Canine 4K Run/Walk our 25th annual signature event is held annually early August in Frisco

Summit County Colorado - League for Animals and People of the Summit - L.A.P.S. - Frisco Colorado summer dog event

Canine 4K Run/Walk our 25th annual in 2015 is held on a Saturday in early August at the Frisco Historic Park Gazebo on Main Street. Nearly 200 delighted dogs and plenty more happy humans from all over the world participate every year for a great cause, raising almost $15,000 each year! Please bring the family and help L.A.P.S. celebrate 25 years of helping locals and their pets! It is always filled with vendors handing out free product samples, local canine specialists providing special services, fun doggie contests, cool door prizes, HUGE silent auction, and a charity 4K race that you can walk or run and win prizes. Registration starts at 8:00 A.M. and the race starts at 9:15 A.M. Save time and pre-register online with EventBrite for this year's L.A.P.S. Canine 4K event!

WELCOME to our meetings!
LAPS meets at 5:30 pm on the third Wednesday of each month at Abbey's Coffee in Frisco on Main Street next to BackCountry Brewery.
Join us as a board member of L.A.P.S. or just come to the meeting to get aquainted. Please email LAPS@colorado.net before attending a meeting to confirm it has not been re-scheduled. LAPS events you can volunteer for and bring your dog in Summit County include: Mardi Gras 4Paws, Canine 4K run/walk, and Marina Mutt. Let's Go Boating at Dillon Marina benefits LAPS, but dogs can't sail with you. HOWLaween Ball at the Silverthorne Pavilion is only for adults...no pets or kids. Please join us for some furry family fun, great socializing dog-friendly events and our fundraisers that support less fortunate local pets. Energetic, involved people are always needed to serve as board members and help with special events around Summit County.

LAPS is spearheading effort to secure permanent Dog Parks throughout Summit County. We need citizens to join committees and attend local government meetings to actively lobby for dog parks in our towns. Please email LAPS@colorado.net should you wish to help.
